Lamb Steak with Charred Peppers and Thyme Butter
Ingredients for Lamb:
- 1 Crescent Foods Grass Fed Boneless Lamb Leg Steak
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon chilli flakes
- 1/2 Teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt according to taste
Cooking Method for Lamb Steak:
Marinate for at least 30 minutes. Heat a cast iron pan on a medium high flame. Lightly oil the pan and cook the steak on both sides for 4-5 minutes. (Cook for 3 minutes on each side for medium rare) Rest the steak a few minutes before cutting. Serve with a dollop of thyme butter and charred peppers on the side.
Ingredients for Thyme Butter:
- 4 Tablespoons softened salted butter
- 1 Teaspoon dried/fresh thyme
- 1/2 Teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Mix together and refrigerate until ready to use.
Ingredients for Charred Peppers:
- 2 cups sliced colorful peppers
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt to taste
Cooking Method: Heat a pan. Add the olive oil and sliced peppers. Cook on a medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until the peppers start to char. Then add the thyme and salt. Cook for one more minute and serve with Lamb Steak.
