I purchased two 12-14 pound Halal turkeys. They arrived timely and well-packed in a Styrofoam cooler. I baked them in an open roaster, uncovered, loosely based on a recipe in the America's Test Kitchen cookbook (unstuffed, butter-basted, salted and peppered inside and out, 16 ounces of organic vegetable broth in bottom of roaster, breast side down at 425F for 1 hour, flipped to breast side up at 350F until done about 1.5 to 2 hours later). The doneness indicator seemed to work correctly. Both turkeys were moist, tender, and tasty without needing to be brined. I would definitely recommend this product.
