Carne Asada French Fry Burrito

Ingredients

  • 4 burrito-size flour tortillas, warmed
  • Refried beans
  • 1 package frozen French fries, baked according to package directions
  • Carne Asada, recipe below
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Pico de Gallo
  • Guacamole

For the Carne Asada

  • 1 ½ pounds Crescent Foods Ribeye or Strip Steak
  • ¼ cup vegetable or canola oil
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • Kosher salt

Method

  • Top each tortilla with a thin, even layer of refried beans. Add french fries and carne asada. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, then top with spoonfuls of pico de gallo and guacamole. Wrap into a burrito and devour.

For the Carne Asada

  • Combine all ingredients in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish. Add steak and toss to coat. Allow to marinate at least 4 hours or up to overnight.
  • Preheat grill or medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and lightly brush off most of the cilantro. Grill until seared on both sides and cooked to a medium rare. Let rest for 5 minutes, then thinly slice.
